About the Student Forum

In response to the calling of IEEE UV International Conferences, UV Student Forum has been founded to raise awareness among the young generation about the challenges and dilemmas humanity is facing, foster their creativity and leadership, encourage entrepreneurial enthusiasm, and contribute to building a better world.

Proposed, hosted, and organized by students and supported by the International Society of Universal Village, the UV Student Forum serves as a valuable platform that encourages the young generation to contemplate the future of the human race, to work together to find solutions for imminent challenges, and to achieve sustainable happiness through wise use of technologies.

In this session, participants have the opportunity to share their research, designs, experiences, and visions with peers, host round-table discussions, propose future plans for UV student clubs, and participate in interactive activities. Specifically, UV2026 Student Forum will feature the following events:

Forum Speakers

UV Student Forum featured speakers will include

(1) Students who will introduce their ongoing research and provide an overview of current technologies,
(2) Student representatives from different vulnerable groups and communities who will share their stories and special needs,
(3) Student innovators who will share their visionary world-changing ideas,
(4) Student leaders of different communities who share a common mission to promote human-nature harmony.

Forum Content

Detailed forum content will be added after student submissions are reviewed and accepted, including research papers, poster presentations, panel discussions, collaborative projects, and selected forum contributions.

Call for Student Forum Submissions

UV2026 Student Forum will follow the theme of IEEE UV2026. Students and young researchers are invited to submit forum contributions that connect their research, design, or applied projects with the UV2026 theme.

All applicants are expected to submit presentation abstracts and presentation materials for the Student Forum session.

Please follow the instructions in “Instructions for Paper Submission” to create an EasyChair account and make a new submission to the system.

Submission Checklist

✓ One-page presentation abstract (200–300 words)

✓ Presentation materials (20–25 PowerPoint/PDF slides or other approved formats)

✓ Select [SF] UV Student Forum under UV Forum when selecting Topics

✓ Select UV PANEL / UV FORUM / UV WORKSHOP as the Category of your submission files

✓ At least one author of an accepted submission must register and present

Call for Reviewers

Support student research and constructive academic exchange.

UV2026 Student Forum welcomes reviewers who are interested in supporting student research, interdisciplinary dialogue, and constructive academic feedback. Reviewers may contribute by evaluating student submissions, providing comments on abstracts or presentation materials, and helping maintain the quality and inclusiveness of the forum.

Call for Volunteers

UV2026 Student Forum invites volunteers to support UV2026 event organization, promotion, media content creation, session preparation, technical trend exploration, IT and participant support. This is an opportunity for students and early-career researchers to participate in the conference community and support the development of an interdisciplinary forum.

Promotion & Media Support
• Host and promote UV2026 across multiple social media platforms.
• Prepare announcements, polish/translate content, and support interviews or reporting.
• Create posters, slides, short videos, and social media materials.

IT Support
• Support website updates, online meeting setup, and digital coordination.
• Assist EasyChair follow-up, WeChat, Teams, Email and IEEE-related support.
• Help participants, authors, reviewers, and organizers solve platform issues.

Content Preparation & Administrative Management
• Prepare documents, email templates, Q&A materials, and training resources.
• Support poster/PPT design and preparation.
• Keep public-facing information clear, consistent, and accessible.

Technical Trend Exploration
• Identify emerging technologies and unexpected challenges related to UV2026 themes.
• Summarize advanced technologies and promising research directions.
• Recommend invited speakers and present previous UV concept/subsystem papers.

Paper Review & Academic Support
• Assist paper review, formatting checks, and publication preparation for UV2026.
• Support author communication and EasyChair status follow-up.
• Help maintain academic quality and a smooth submission process.

Participant Support
• Support for authors, attendees, students, and other participants
• Guide participants to relevant conference information.
• Help answer questions through email, WeChat groups, or other channels.
• Prepare training documents and video and support Q&A representative

Liaison Assistant
• Promote UV2026 conference.
• Help connect with potential paper authors, invited speakers, student contributors, and partner communities.
• Assist with invitation follow-ups and maintaining professional contact with contributors.

Session Assistants
• Support session chairs and organizers before and during conference sessions.
• Support Easychair followup and paper review/formatting/ publication.
• Prepare session materials, coordinate online meetings, assist with presentation order, and help ensure that sessions run smoothly.

Event Organization
• Assist with the organization of UV2026 events and forum activities
• Assist Pitch Competition, Data Science Competition, Modeling Competition, Panel Discussion, UV City Evaluation and Demonstration Exhibition, Art Forum and Exhibition, and K-12 Forum.
• Propose and help organize new events related to the UV2026 theme.

Students, early-career researchers, and interdisciplinary contributors are warmly encouraged to apply. Prior experience in conference organization, media production, IT support, academic reviewing, or event coordination is welcome, but not required. We especially encourage students without prior experience to participate, learn through practice, and contribute according to their interests, strengths, and availability.

Meet the Student Forum Team

The UV2026 Student Forum is coordinated by a student-led organizing team under the broader IEEE UV2026 conference structure. The team supports forum planning, participant communication, reviewer and volunteer coordination, media preparation, and session organization.
